After some family hardship, a couple "desert" years, and feeling like we weren't truly being ourselves, we decided to start fresh as "One Common". New name, new drive but same purpose. We thought to ourselves: "What if we had some fun with this?". Years before we had entered a talent competition and won the band category with our Christian version of "Story of my Life" by One Direction. We brought back the idea to post on our socials with the title "Sanctified Secular Songs". From the first video we started seeing millions of views. Now, it was fun to have a viral video series, but the real win behind all of that was seeing people's hunger to set themselves apart from the world and find ways to glorify God with everyday things.

Fast forward to November 2025. We'd been consistently releasing songs, signed a record deal, and were playing shows throughout the year. We continued to notice how merch was a very special part of what we were doing and used it to drive a deeper connection between us and our fans. We wanted this to be bigger than us though. We wanted more than just "band merch". So we thought, how can we use this tool to have other represent not us or our band but Christ. The goal became to turn our regular merch store into a Christian Apparel line with a loud and clear message that anybody could wear. Thus BUT NOT OF. was born.
